On October 27, 2026, at approximately 1500 hours, the Sallisaw Campus Police Department received a radio dispatch notification from a 3rd-party source that a medical panic alert was reported through electronic submission.
Campus Police, along with the Sallisaw Police Department, responded to the reported area of the Liberty Library to find no emergency of any kind. Further investigation resulted in the discovery that it was a false alarm reported by RAVE.
Administration and officers have been in contact with the company to discuss the discrepancy and whether it was a glitch in their system. In light of this issue, it was not futile in nature; we were able to coordinate and work seamlessly with other agencies, providing a stellar response time and clear communication.
