On the evening of 09/09/2026, the Sallisaw Campus Police Department received third-party information about a possible public safety threat in the form of an alleged possible school shooting at Sallisaw High School.
Chief Graham received third-party information from an individual who was approached by a student. It was stated that they received direct messages from a fellow student who relayed in various ways across social media platforms that there was the intent to carry out a school shooting.
Once the first-party individuals were identified, along with the alleged suspect student, a direct co-op effort was performed with the Sallisaw Campus Police, Sallisaw PD, Cherokee Nation Marshals, and communication with the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office and Dist 27 DA's Office. An arrest has been made related to the matter. |
