As we wrap up the current school year and prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, Sallisaw High School is announcing a transition in our technology distribution model.

Transition to Classroom Carts

Beginning this fall, Sallisaw High School will discontinue the 1:1 Chromebook program. Students will no longer be issued individual devices to take home. Instead, we are returning to a classroom cart model, ensuring that Chromebooks remain readily available in classrooms for instructional use during the school day.

Policy for Concurrent and ICTC Students

We recognize that students enrolled in higher education or technical programs have unique technology needs.

• Device Provision: Students taking concurrent enrollment classes through Carl Albert State College or attending the Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) may be issued a dedicated device.

• Usage Restriction: These devices are designated strictly for off-campus use at Carl Albert or ICTC, or for at-home study. They will not be permitted for use on the Sallisaw High School campus.

Note: Additional details on the process for current devices and checkout procedures for eligible concurrent/ICTC students will be shared by the administration as the new school year approaches.
