April 4, 2020
Dear Sallisaw School Parents and Staff,
Starting April 6th through May 14th, we will be implementing our “Distance Learning Plan”. There will be no school on April 10th, Good Friday. This is new territory and a new learning experience for all of us, to say the least. We know there will be some issues as we go through this process. We will continue to improve on it as we go. Please feel free to contact us with any concerns. Our administration and teachers will do everything we can to make this work for our students.
Beginning, Monday, April 6th our “Grab and Go” meals and our meal deliveries will be given out on only the following two days.
On Mondays, 11:00-12:30 pm, pick up and deliver lunches, will include Tuesday’s breakfast and Tuesday’s lunch. Wednesdays will include Thursday and Friday’s lunch and breakfast. We plan to begin “hot” meals this week. Please refrigerate appropriate meal items.
We understand this is a difficult time for our 2020 Seniors and their families. We are working hard to find a way to hold graduation ceremonies. We are open to your input, as we move closer to the graduation date. Options will need to meet the CDC and State Department guidelines during that time. It may be necessary to delay the date or use a creative option. But we will recognize our Seniors.
This is a great community and the school is the heart of it. We will get through this with our strength and resilience.
