Denise Kostka is a 1979 graduate of Sallisaw High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Northeastern State University in 1983 and her elementary certification from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1986. Mrs. Kostka began her career as a speech therapist for Noble Public Schools. She also taught at Marble City and Gore Schools. She taught 6th grade at Tommie Spear Middle School from 1989 until 2006. She is currently the speech therapist for Liberty and Eastside Schools. She and her husband, Victor, have two daughters. Brooke, a student at the University of Oklahoma, and Morgan, a sophomore at Sallisaw High School. She enjoys all types of sports – especially the Sallisaw Black Diamonds and the Oklahoma Sooner
