I am a graduate of NSU in the year 1984 with a BA in Art Education and a minor in Biology. I have taught at Sallisaw High School for 22 years. Two years ago I retired for three years and then decided to continue teaching again. I was fortunate to be able to return to Sallisaw High School and was excited to work with the students again. I have been married to Emmett Tyler for forty-eight years and we have two sons, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, one of which went on to be with the Lord at the age of one month and three days. In my spare time, I try to work on my art in my studio that my husband built for me next to our home.
