Gary Gunter graduated from Gans High School in 1970. He served in the Army National Guard and United States Army Reserve from 1971 to 1977. Gary received his Bachelor’s degree in education and Master’s degree in School Administration from Northeastern State University at Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He has been an educator for 34 years and 20 of those years have been in school administration. His wife, Shirley, is a speech/hearing pathologist for Muldrow Schools. He has twin daughters, Katie and Emily, who are presently seniors at the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond. Gary believes family and education are the foundation for individual success in life.
