Gary Gunter - Eastside Elementary
Principal
Gary Gunter graduated from Gans High School in 1970.
He received his Bachelors of Science degree and Masters of Education
from Northeastern State University. He has 28 years experience in the
field of education. 15 of these years were as a teacher and 13 of them
as a principal including this year.
He is married to Shirley Ann Gunter who is a Speech
and Hearing Pathologist. She is employed at the Sequoyah County Health
Department. They have twin daughters who are sixteen years old and are
students at Sallisaw High School.
Our primary goal for Eastside Elementary School is to
prepare the students for the challenges, choices, and opportunities of
the future in a school that commands excellence.
